Family Of God Lutheran Church

 SanFrancisco or Bust!

 

    Our Jr. & Sr. High youth are partnering with Vinland Lutheran in Poulsbo and Our Saviours in Bremerton to take a trip to SanFrancisco to serve those in the big city.  We leave the end of June when school is out and will be traveling by van and sleeping in churches on the way.  We are working through  Center for Student Missions - Check them out on the web at   www.csm.org

     Our youth have been to Tiajuana Mexico to build houses, to Seattle area to serve meals, to Camp Lutherwood in Bellingham to do volunteer work, painted at a migrant workers camp housing and helped in our community as well.   Every youth and adult who go on a mission trip come back changed and enlightened about what it means to be Christ's hands and feet in the world - and with the question, "Where are we going next time?"

    We are still raising funds to cover our trip.  The youth hosted the Easter Brunch, saved their pennies in "Change for Good", assembled our church cookbook, and they are doing yardwork etc. to earn more money.  If you would like to donate to their efforts, you can mail your donation to Family Of God  P.O. Box 3132, Bremerton, WA 98310.  Be sure to designate that the donation is for the Youth Mission Trip.
